Snowflake interns are eligible for benefits too! The below information will get you caught up to speed with what you qualify for.
Long-Term Interns: Work 180+ days and are eligible for coverage.
Short-Term Interns: Work 179 or less days and must work 20+ hours per week in order to be eligible for coverage.
Health & Well-Being
Medical
If you’d like to enroll in medical coverage from Snowflake, you can choose between two Cigna plans. If you’re located in California, you also have the option of a medical plan through Kaiser Permanente.
Dental
Our dental plan through Delta Dental provides both excellent coverage and flexibility without breaking the bank.
Vision
Interns can enroll in our vision coverage through Vision Service Plan. Even if you don’t need glasses or contacts, vision coverage is important for a several other health reasons.
Mental Health
Don’t stress the name, interns are also automatically eligible for our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Lyra Health. Maintaining your mental and emotional health is important to your well-being, and Lyra is here to help.
Financial
Health Savings Account (HSA)
If you choose to enroll in the Cigna OAP HDHP medical plan, it’s wise to also enroll in the HSA that comes with it. This account will help you save money for future health expenses.
Commuter Benefit
If you take public transit to get to work, or have parking expenses near work, you should check out our commuter benefits through Navia.
Life, Accident, & Disability
It pays to be prepared for the unexpected. That’s why Snowflake interns are automatically provided life and accident benefits. Note: all interns are eligible for short-term disability only.
401(k)
Interns are eligible for Snowflake’s 401(k) retirement savings plan and will be auto-enrolled with a 5% pre-tax contribution rate. Contribution rates can be adjusted by visiting the Fidelity website.

Paid Time Off
Snowflake interns receive accrued sick time (each pay period) and receive days off on the holidays we observe each year. Short-term interns must work 20+ hours per week to be eligible & long-term interns are eligible.
