Eligibility & Enrollment

Full-time regular or intern employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for benefits on the date of hire.

Eligible dependents include:

• Spouses or domestic partners
• Children (including children of our spouse or domestic partner) up to age 26

Family members such as parents, grandparents, and siblings are not eligible for coverage. In addition, a Snowflake employee cannot be enrolled in single coverage while also being covered as a dependent of another Snowflake employee (for example, a spouse).

When to enroll in or change your benefits:

• As a new hire
• During annual Open Enrollment
• If you experience a mid-year Qualified Life Event (QLE)

QLEs include a change in marital status, a change in eligible dependent status, loss of other coverage, and other major life changes. If you experience a QLE, you have 31 days from the event date to make changes to your benefit elections.

If you are outside of an eligible enrollment window and would like to request a change to your current benefit elections, please complete the Enrollment Appeal Form.

How to enroll:

Snowflake employees enroll on Empyrean which is accessed by signing into Okta.  Once you’re logged in to Okta, select the Empyrean app for enrollment.
