Happy New Year, Snowflakes! With 2026 now underway, here’s a reminder of Snowflake Benefit offerings that can support your wellbeing.
Check Your Coverage
Confirm your benefits elections are accurate on Empyrean.
- Medical, Dental, and Vision plans reflect your 2026 Open Enrollment choices.
- HSA or FSA contribution amounts are set for the new year.
- Dependents and Beneficiaries are up to date (this is a great time to ensure your loved ones are protected).
If you notice any discrepancies, please contact the Benefits Advocates immediately.
2026 Financial Limit Updates
The IRS has increased contribution limits for 2026. Use the table below to plan your savings strategy:
| Benefit Type | 2026 Contribution Limit |
|---|---|
| 401(k) Employee Contribution | $24,500 |
| 401(k) Catch-up (Age 50+ ) | $8,000 |
| 401(k) Enhanced Catch-up (Ages 60–63) | $11,250 |
| Health Savings Account (Individual) | $4,400 |
| Health Savings Account (Family) | $8,750 |
| Healthcare FSA | $3,400 |
Note on Catch-up: Per IRS regulations starting in 2026, if your 2025 FICA wages exceeded $150,000, your catch-up contributions must be made on a Roth (after-tax) basis. If you earned $150,000 or less, you can still choose between Pre-tax and Roth catch-ups.
