Meet Maven, your new partner in your parenting journey and your one-stop shop for family support. No matter where you are on your journey—from planning your family future to returning to work after pregnancy—Maven can provide significant support to empower you and help you succeed. Members get personal access to top-rated practitioners through on-demand virtual appointments—we’re talking prenatal nutritionists, reproduction experts, OB-GYNs, lactation consultants, and even career coaches—so you can get expert advice at every stage of your journey, whenever you need it. You’ll also be assigned a designated care advocate, who provides one-on-one support to help answer your questions, connect you with the right providers, and offer referrals. Adoption and surrogacy program
Snowflake understands that families grow in a variety of ways, including through adoption or surrogacy. To assist employees with building their family through adoption or surrogacy, Snowflake provides financial support to help you pay for certain related expenses. If you welcome a new child into your family through adoption or surrogacy, you may be eligible for reimbursement of qualified expenses up to $10,000 USD or the local market equivalent. Once the adoption or surrogacy is finalized, you can apply for reimbursement, which must be done within six months of the finalization. You can apply for this reimbursement a lifetime maximum of two times during your employment at Snowflake.
Visit the dedicated page to learn more about the program, including an overview of eligible expenses, steps on how to apply for the reimbursement, and more.
Parental Leave
Spending time to care for and bond with your new child is important. To ensure you get the most out of this precious time, make sure you take advantage of Snowflake’s Parental Leave policy. Additionally, you can use this paid leave for the delivery of your child, and the policy is also applicable to children brought into your home through adoption or foster placement. Birthing parents are eligible for up to 26 weeks of paid parental leave, including pregnancy disability time off for delivery and recovery, plus time off for baby bonding. Non-birthing parents are eligible for up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave.
Baby gift
When you add to your family, we consider it an addition to our family. To help you celebrate your newest arrival, Snowflake will send you a box of Snowflake “baby swag” when you welcome a new child into the family. The box of swag includes a stuffed polar bear, a blanket, a Snowflake onesie, a Snowflake bib, and a pair of Snowflake socks. For your child to be eligible for this gift, you must have been a Snowflake employee when the baby joined your family, and the date of birth, adoption, or foster placement must have been on or after January 1, 2020.
