Check in on Your Mental Health

Mental Health

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. An essential part of mental health is recognizing and understanding our emotions. As emotions often influence our feelings, actions, and results in life, we must have awareness of our mental health.

Mental health awareness

Did you know that caring for your mental health is just as important as taking care of any physical ailments you are experiencing? Preventing mental and emotional challenges from becoming a negative disruption to our work and lives can be achieved with the right tools, support, and resources.

In this month’s blog, you will learn about the importance of mental health awareness, assess your mental health, and find resources to support you and your family. We have also scheduled numerous webinars to introduce you to strategies to help you manage your mental health. You should have received a calendar invite for each webinar.

How are you holding up?

We know life can be full of ups and downs, and experiencing a range of moods and feelings is completely normal. How do you know if your mental health could use some extra support? Ask yourself these questions:

  • Have I been isolating myself from others at work, friends, or family?
  • Have I lost interest in activities and pursuits that previously held my attention?
  • Have I felt more sad than happy lately?
  • Am I having trouble concentrating?
  • Am I overly fatigued at the end of the day?
  • Have my appetite or eating habits changed recently?

If you answered yes to any questions above, consider talking to a mental health expert. Read on for more information about mental health benefits and resources available to Snowflakes and their families. The use of these benefits is completely confidential.
